This is our flagship loader, designed to meet all your needs in one versatile machine. With this series, we’ve pushed the limits of what a compact loader can achieve. With a whopping lift capacity of up to 1900 kg and lift height of 3.5 metres, you can complete almost any job from the comfort of the cab. For example, the 800 series can reach up to a tall feeder wagon or load a truck from one side, without having to manoeuvre around the truck.

And, despite their powerful capacity, the 800 series loaders are still space-efficient and agile, making them easy to transport on a conventional car trailer (subject to the weight of the trailer). We’ve also developed the optional ROPS/FOPS-compliant GT cab for enhanced ergonomics and safety. You'll be comfortable driving all day with air-conditioning, vibration insulation, low noise levels, Bluetooth radio, and an air suspension seat.

This series is carefully articulated to make your life easier. With the driver’s seat in the front chassis, these machines have a lower centre of gravity and an advanced 4x4 system, increasing stability while you work. To prevent the attachments swinging sideways, we’ve also incorporated a rigid articulation joint.

The 800 series is equipped with an open ROPS/FOPS-certified cab with a clear view of the work area. However, we also have a series of enclosed cabs available that comply with the ROPS/FOPS standards.

Telescopic boom

Despite its compact size, the 800 series boasts exceptional reach and lift capacity, making it stand out in its class. The telescopic boom plays a key role in this capability, allowing the loader to lift up to 3.5 metres high. This feature provides the flexibility to handle a wide range of tasks while maintaining a compact form, ideal for tight spaces or challenging environments. When the boom is not in use, it conveniently retracts, further enhancing manoeuvrability.

In addition to its impressive height, the 800 series offers superior reach, enabling you to load a trailer from one side without repositioning the machine. This not only increases productivity but also ensures excellent visibility from the cab, allowing the operator to work with precision.

4X4 drive

All Avant loaders are equipped with four-wheel drive so you can operate safely in any conditions. Powered by a hydrostatic drive system and hydraulic drive motors on each wheel, these machines are highly efficient and dependable.

The drive circuit also features valves, increasing your traction control. These valves function like a hydraulic 4x4 diff lock, equalising the oil flow between each motor and improving traction on slippery or uneven surfaces. To avoid damaging any soft terrain and reduce tyre wear on harder surfaces, the left and right wheels can also roll at different speeds.

How does Avant compare to a skid steer?

Avant loaders and skid steer loaders are both compact loaders, but they have several differences, including:

  1. Size: Avant loaders are generally narrower and lighter than skid steer loaders.
  2. Manoeuvrability: Avant loaders have articulated steering, which is more responsive and causes much less damage to soft surfaces. Skid steers skid, which can tear up soft surfaces. If you need to turn on the spot, a skid steer will be better as it can pivot on a dime. Because an Avant is articulated it has a larger turning circle, but its unique drive system causes minimal damage to the ground surface.  
  3. Operating costs: Avant loaders have lower fuel consumption and tyre wear than skid steers.
  4. Visibility: Avant loaders have 360 degree operator visibility and side entry for easier access to the cab.
  5. Lifting height: Avant loaders have a telescopic boom that provides increased lifting height and reach compared to a skid steer.
  6. Ground damage: Avant loaders cause minimal ground damage and don't require ground protection mats.

How long has Avant been in NZ?

Avant loaders have been in New Zealand since 2004, when Avant Equipment NZ (formerly Glenbrook Machinery) became the importer and distributor for the brand.

Avant Tecno is a market leader in articulated mini loaders, and has been manufacturing loaders since 1991. Their loaders are used in many industries in New Zealand, including beekeeping, landscaping, and arboriculture.

How do I choose the right Avant model?

This depends on the application. In demanding commercial applications, we recommend models 635, 745, 750 and 850. These all have high flow hydraulics and will run virtually all attachments. For hobby farms, the smaller 200, 400 and 500 series are a good choice.
